Contrary to many beliefs, ';blackheads'; are not just dirt, per se. These are a result of overactive glands and hormones. When pores release certain substances, sweat and oils as examples, sometimes the same pores get ';clogged'; and as a result black spots do appear just beneath the skin.
Daily care is important. Washing one's face before bed is important to wash away oils and dirt. This is also important to prevent infection. A well-balanced diet with regular intake of vitamins C and A helps a lot. Excessive sun exposure should be avoided. Stress should be in check. Exercise. Avoid fatty food.
Speaking of infection, I would go to a GP just to have my skin checked. This is just to avoid infection and other more worrying consequences of blackheads. Have you had these before?
