Astringent for blackheads? or not......?

Basically, i have these blackheads and huge pores on my nose. And i was wondering if astringent is going to be the right treatment for it. And also if they actually work. And if they don't what should i use?

Any suggestions would help! Thankyou.Astringent for blackheads? or not......?
You want to cleanse your face in the evening to remove makeup, dirt, and impurities. You would also be amazed at the impurities that are on your face in the morning, even when you cleanse at night. Try this and you will see the dirt. As soon as you wake up in the morning, apply your toner to a cotton ball and wipe over your face. Now look at the cotton ball. Can you see the dirt?

Try the following morning and night:

1. Exfoliant 鈥?use 2-3 times per week. (Do this step at night)

2. Clean face with a Facial Cleanser and warm water.

3. Rub entire face with ice cube or splash cold water onto face. This step helps to minimize pores.

4. Toner. Witch Hazel works great. (Use 100% cotton balls, not the cheap puffs which can scratch your face)

5. Moisturizer. Shea Butter Cr猫me works well and leaves your skin soft but not greasy.

6. Sunscreen. (Morning)

Try this for the blackheads:

Combine 1/4 cup boiling water with one teaspoon of Epsom salt and three drops of iodine.

Let mixture cool until it's comfortable to the touch.

Saturate a cotton ball with this mixture and dab on blackheads.

This will allow them to loosen so they can be easily squeezed with a gauze pad. Wash face afterwards.

Next, you need to look the makeup that you are wearing. is it clogging or enlarging your pores or causing breakouts? I have listed some resources below so that you can find out what the ingredients are in the makeup that you are using.Astringent for blackheads? or not......?
Astringent isn't for pores persay (for the blackheads anyway), the main purpose of Astringent is to equal out your ph balance in your face/skin. One thing that works well is an Active Charcoal mask, there is one located at an Origins store or Origins.com called ';Clear Improvement';, it also contains china clay, which.. while leaving the mask on for 10 minutes, it will soak into your pores.. when you rinse it off with hot water, the clay comes out with the water, dragging all of the ';gunk'; that's in the pores with it. With continual use of this product, you will see a MAJOR improvement.

To avoid getting more blackheads, avoid ANYTHING that's not natural and/or that contains Mineral Oil. (Aveda, Clarins, and Origins product is all fragrance free, mineral oil free, and contains nothing that will clog your pores.)

G'luck!! =)

Astringent really works. They clean the oil and dirt off your face really well. The only bad thing is that it may dry your skin and if it gets in your eyes it will be very painful...so be careful!
